W. Kenneth Riland (1912–1989) was an influential osteopathic physician, cofounder of the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and long-time personal physician to notable figures like Richard M. Nixon and Nelson A. Rockefeller. Riland graduated in 1936 from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and became chief physician at US Steel in New York. Throughout his career, he contributed significantly to the field of osteopathy, receiving numerous honors, including the Andrew Taylor Still Medallion. He passed away in 1989 due to lymphoma complications.
