Vladislav Leonidovich Zanadvorov was a Soviet writer born on September 28, 1914, who is primarily recognized for his poignant poems about World War II. His career was deeply influenced by his professional background as a geologist. In February 1942, he was conscripted into the Red Army during the Second World War. Tragically, he lost his life in battle near Stalingrad just nine months later, on November 28, 1942, at the young age of 28.
