Vladimir Ivanovich Shishin is a Russian composer, pedagogue, professor at the Rostov Conservatory, member of the Union of Composers of Russia, and Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. He is known for his compositions for bayan, accordion, and orchestra, as well as his contributions to the development of bayan technique. Shishin has been a teacher at the Rostov State Music and Pedagogical Institute since 1976 and has been a professor at the Rostov Conservatory for many years. He has also been a soloist with the Rostov Regional Philharmonic Orchestra and has toured extensively throughout the Soviet Union. He is known for his deep understanding of music and his ability to communicate it to his students. Shishin has won numerous awards, including the "Champion of Europe" award at the International Accordion and Accordion Competition in Germany in 1977. He is also the author of several books and articles on bayan technique and pedagogy.
