Vladimir Romanovsky was a Belarusian canoeist born on June 21, 1957, in Slonim, Hrodna, then part of the Belarusian SSR. He achieved significant success in the 1976 Montreal Olympics, where he won a gold medal in the K2 1000m event and a silver medal in the K2 500m event alongside his teammate Serhiy Nahornyi. Additionally, he earned three medals, including two titles, at the World Championships in 1981 and 1982. Romanovsky was affiliated with Dynamo Slonim during his sports career.
