Vladimir Ilyich Markin, born on May 9, 1958, in Sevastopol, Ukrainian SSR, USSR, is a Russian philosopher and logician. He earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in 1997 and has been a professor at Lomonosov Moscow State University since 2001. Since 2003, he has served as the head of the Department of Logic at the university's Faculty of Philosophy. Markin has also held the position of deputy dean for scientific work at the Faculty of Philosophy.
