Vladimir Vladimirovich Leporsky (January 15, 1911 – August 15, 1981) was the director of the Azovstal Metallurgical Plant in Mariupol from 1956 to 1981. Born in Liepāja, Latvia, he joined the Communist Party in 1929 and graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Metallurgical Institute in 1933. He worked at Azovstal from 1938, becoming its chief engineer in 1955 and director in 1956. Leporsky was a respected figure in metallurgy, earning several awards and was buried at the Old Crimean Cemetery in Mariupol.
