He graduated from Moscow State University in 1979 and has published several articles on Buddhism. He has worked as a lecturer in philosophy and as a psychologist. Korobov served as the deputy director of the Lithuanian Institute of Buddhist Studies and has been involved in various internet projects. He teaches courses on Tibetan language, history, and literature at Vilnius University and has published poetry and prose, including works in an online journal.
