Vladimir Frolochkin (born December 10, 1989, Leningrad) is one of the strongest shogi players in Russia, holding a 4-dan rank in the FESA and a 2-dan rank in NSR. He won the Russian Shogi Cup in 2014 and became the Russian Shogi Champion in both 2015 and 2023. In 2023, he ranked first in the Russian FESA list, surpassing Viktor Zaparov, who had led the ranking for 18 years. Frolochkin is also a FIDE Master in chess, winning the St. Petersburg Youth Chess Championship in 2002.
