Vladimir Chubykin was a Soviet and Russian football player, born on April 21, 1953, in Khabarovsk. He played as a defender and midfielder. Chubykin developed his skills at the 'Chaika' school in Khabarovsk, under the coach Ivan Pudov. He played three matches in the second league for 'Metallurg' in 1973, later joining various clubs including Dynamo and Amur. Over his career from 1982 to 1992, he participated in 299 matches for Amur, scoring 24 goals.
