Vladimír Černík was a Czech amateur tennis player born on July 9, 1917, in Roudnice nad Labem. He was a member of the Czechoslovak Davis Cup team from 1945 to 1949. Çerník held a record with his partner Jaroslav Drobný as the best doubles pair, achieving eleven wins before being surpassed by Tomáš Berdych and Radek Štěpánek, who obtained sixteen victories. Černík passed away on April 2, 2002, in Palm Beach, Florida.
