Late Pt. Acharya Vishwanath Rao Ringe, born on December 6, 1922, was a renowned Hindustani Classical Music vocalist and composer. A disciple of the Gwalior Gharana, he composed over 2000 bandishs across approximately 200 raagas and authored several music books, including 'Sangitanjali' and 'Swaranjali.' He established the Bhartiya Sangeet Kala Mandir music school in 1939 and created a new raga, Hemashri. Pt. Ringe passed away in 2005 at the age of 83.
