Virginia Carreño was an Argentine writer, playwright, historian, and essayist born on April 3, 1912, in Paris and died on November 19, 2014, in Buenos Aires. Her novel 'María de los Angeles' was adapted into a film in 1948. Carreño was recognized with the Enrique Fernández Latour Prize for Argentine-French friendship in 1994. She reached an impressive age of 102 years.
