Virgilio Tommasi was an Italian long jumper born on May 10, 1905, in Verona. He competed in the Olympic Games, finishing seventh in 1924 in Rome and failing to qualify in 1928 in Amsterdam. Tommasi was a notable athlete during the 1920s and 1930s, winning the Italian Championship multiple times in 1924–1926, 1928, 1929 (achieving a personal best of 7.41 m), and 1931. He is also known for having a successful brother, Angelo Tommasi, who excelled in high jump.
