Violette Dorange is a French navigator and skipper born on April 17, 2001, in Rochefort, Charente-Maritime. Notably, she achieved the first crossing of the English Channel in an Optimist from the Isle of Wight to Cherbourg in May 2016, followed by the first crossing of the Strait of Gibraltar in 2017. In 2019, she became the youngest person to solo cross the Atlantic Ocean during the Mini Transat and the youngest woman to participate in the Solitaire du Figaro in 2020. In 2023, she was the youngest navigator to solo cross the Atlantic on an Imoca at age 22.
