Michael Vincent O'Brien was an influential Irish race horse trainer renowned for his remarkable achievements in horse racing. He was voted the greatest influence in horse racing history and the best trainer of both national hunt and flat racehorses. O'Brien trained six Epsom Derby winners, three Grand Nationals in succession, and Nijinsky, the sole British Triple Crown winner since World War II. Unique in history, he was a champion trainer in both flat and national hunt racing categories. He retired and passed the legacy to Aidan O'Brien.
