Vilmos Zsinkó was a Hungarian metalworker and party activist, born on February 2, 1911, in Rimaszombat. He became an apprentice at Watt Electric Works and joined the metalworkers' union at 16. Zsinkó was involved in a factory strike at 19, leading to imprisonment. He participated in the Communist Youth Workers' International and later fought in the Spanish Civil War as part of the International Brigades, where he lost his life on August 7, 1938, at the Ebro front in Spain.
