Viljo Kekola was a Finnish supercentenarian, recognized as the oldest person in Finland from January 2009 until his death in October 2009. Born on April 1, 1901, he worked in a gold mine in Canada from 1926 to 1930, before returning to Finland, where he farmed until 1976. He married Eeva Kankaanpää in 1997 and lived in Peräseinäjoki. After Kekola's death, Jussi Leskinen, born in 1901, became the oldest living person in Finland.
