Viktor Mikhailovich Chegin is a Russian racewalking coach born on February 3, 1962, in Bersenevka, Lyambirsky District. He trained three athletes who won medals at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics and also coached several gold medalists at the 2012 Summer Olympics. However, Chegin faced significant controversy as more than 20 of his trainees were disqualified for doping between 2005 and 2015, leading to his lifetime ban from all sport-related activities on February 17, 2016. His athletes' results continued to be disqualified until mid-2019.
