Vijayant Thapar (December 26, 1976 - June 29, 1999) was a soldier in the 2 Rajputana Rifles of the Indian Army. He was martyred during the Kargil War on June 29, 1999. For his bravery in the battle, he was posthumously awarded the Vir Chakra, one of India's highest military honors.
