Victor Joseph Ceserani MBE was a British chef, teacher, and writer born on 23 October 1919 in London. He was the son of an Italian father and a Belgian mother. Ceserani initially became a successful chef before retraining to share his culinary skills as a college lecturer. Alongside Ronald Kinton, he co-authored the influential cookery book 'Practical Cookery' in 1962, which was tailored for apprentice chefs. After retiring in 1980, Ceserani continued to contribute to the culinary field as a consultant and judge, remaining active until his passing on 18 February 2017.
