Vicente Paiva Ribeiro was a Brazilian pianist, singer, composer, arranger, and conductor, born on April 18, 1908, in São Paulo and died on February 18, 1964, in Rio de Janeiro. He is best known for his famous carnival march, 'Mamãe Eu Quero.' Paiva made significant contributions to Brazilian music and was also the father of actress Daisy Paiva.
