Verner Lindblom (1918-2014) was a Swedish teacher and historian known for his association with the Västgötaskolan. He studied under Carl Otto Fast and obtained his adjunct qualifications in history at the University of Gothenburg in the early 1970s. Lindblom proposed the Götaland hypothesis in his thesis about the temples of the Svear. He controversially claimed that Swedes descended from Atlantis, emphasizing the abilities of the Atlantis culture. Later, he shifted his focus to the 11th and 12th centuries after a decline in interest in his Atlantis theories.
