Veniamin Iosifovich Tsalkin (1903–1970) was a Soviet zoologist and morphological systematist, who became a Doctor of Biological Sciences in 1947. He authored more than 200 scientific works, including eight monographs. Tsalkin was among the signatories of the famous 'Letter of the Three Hundred,' which addressed concerns in the scientific community. His contributions significantly impacted zoology and its various branches.
