Veikko Väinämö Vesterinen, born on October 23, 1932, in Helsinki, is a Finnish retired lieutenant general. He concluded his active military career in 1992 as the commander of the Southwest Finland Military Province. Throughout his service, Vesterinen held significant positions, including serving as an aide-de-camp to General Yrjö Keinonen, the Commander of the Defence Forces, and to Mauno Koivisto, the President of Finland.
