Vasily Grigorievich Konarev (December 23, 1915 – January 27, 2006) was a prominent Soviet geneticist and biochemist. He participated in the Great Patriotic War and later held several significant roles, including head of the Biochemistry Laboratory and director of the Biology Institute from 1956, as well as leading the Biochemistry department at Bashkir State University from 1963. He became a doctor of biological sciences in 1955, a professor in 1956, and contributed to plant science research until his retirement.
