Vasiliy Mikhaylovich Parkhomenko is a Soviet, Ukrainian, and Russian politician born on October 22, 1947, in Ochakiv, Mykolaiv Oblast. He served as the first secretary of the Sevastopol City Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine from July 1990 to March 2014, with a break from 1991 to 1993. Later, he became the first secretary of the Sevastopol City Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. He was the chairman of the Sevastopol City Council from 1998 to 2002 and has held various political roles since.
