Vasilis Nikakis is a former international FIFA football referee from Agrinio, Greece, born on September 28, 1953. He served as a prominent referee and reached the position of chief referee in the field of refereeing. He officiated numerous significant domestic matches and participated in the 1991 Women's World Cup. Additionally, he was a standby referee for the 1994 World Cup in the USA. In 2012, he ran for parliament as a candidate for the Communist Party of Greece (KKE).
