Vahagn Mkrtchyan is an Armenian literary scholar born on November 26, 1925, in Sardarapat, Armenia. He attained the title of Doctor of Philological Sciences in 1983 and became a professor in 1985. He was recognized as a Honored Worker of Arts of the Armenian SSR in 1985 and has been a member of the Union of Soviet Writers since 1958. His contributions to literature and academia have made significant impacts in the field of literary studies in Armenia.
