Vadim Nikolayevich Lyudvikovsky was a Soviet jazz conductor, composer, and arranger, born on April 23, 1925, in Kursk and passed away on December 10, 1995, in Moscow. He gained international recognition as one of the most progressive bandleaders in the Soviet Union and was known for popularizing swing and orchestral jazz music in the USSR. In 1995, he was honored as a Distinguished Artist of the Russian Federation.
