Vedire Ramachandra Reddy (1905–1986) was a pioneering social worker in southern India, recognized as the first landlord to donate land as part of the Bhoodan movement in 1951. He donated 100 acres initially, contributing to a total of 1 million acres distributed among the poor. Born into a prominent family during the Nizam Rule, he trained in law but dedicated his life to social reform. Reddy's efforts played a crucial role in the land donation initiative inspired by Mahatma Gandhi, making a lasting impact in Andhra Pradesh.
