V. Eshwaraiah, also known as Vangala Eshwaraiah, is a prominent Indian jurist who served as the Chairperson of the National Commission for Backward Classes from September 19, 2013, to September 2016. Previously, he was the Chief Justice of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh. Eshwaraiah was appointed an additional judge in 1999 and became a full judge in 2000. He advocates for legal effectiveness through societal respect for laws and has been influenced by spiritual and political figures. Eshwaraiah also emphasized the importance of peace between India and Pakistan.
