Upendra Kishore Das (February 21, 1901 - April 20, 1972) was an Oriya writer and independence activist. He was born in a zamindar family in Cuttack district, Odisha. Das was involved in the non-cooperation movement led by Mahatma Gandhi, which impacted his education. He dedicated his later life to serving the nation and pursuing literature, particularly children's literature and art. His only notable novel, 'Malajahn,' published in 1922, gained recognition in Oriya literature, and its story emphasizes the often unseen struggles within society.
