Tsuneo Ando, born in 1956, is a prominent 9th dan Yoshinkan Aikido teacher. He trained for 13 years under Gozo Shioda, the Yoshinkan Aikido founder, and is known for his resemblance to Shioda in speed and style. Ando attended Tokushima University studying engineering and achieved 2nd dan in aikikai. He joined the Yoshinkan in 1981, became a shihan in 1993, and holds the title of chairman shihan at the Yoshinkan Headquarters in Tokyo.
