Tsoknyi Rinpoche, born Ngawang Tsoknyi Gyatso on March 13, 1966, is a notable Tibetan Buddhist teacher and author, recognized as the third Tsoknyi Rinpoche by the 16th Karmapa. He has trained extensively under prominent teachers in the Drukpa Kagyü and Nyingma traditions. He oversees the Tergar Osel Ling Monastery in Nepal, established by his father Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche. Tsoknyi Rinpoche is active in promoting Buddhist education for non-Tibetans and has documented efforts to support Tsoknyi Nangchen nuns in Tibet.
