He was a pianist for the rock band Hellbillies from 1999 to 2005 and has worked with NRK on various entertainment shows, including Beat for beat. He performs as part of the duo Nagell/Wentzel and has released two albums. A music educator, he has contributed to Norway's cultural scene and won the Gjøvikprisen in 2023 for his efforts in music and culture.
