Troels Myndel Pedersen was a Danish naturalist botanist, naturalized in Argentina, known for his extensive work on the Amaranthaceae family in Argentina. Born in Copenhagen on September 26, 1916, he spent his later years on a farm established by his father, which he donated in 1991 to create the Mburucuyá National Park in Corrientes Province. He amassed a herbarium of 30,000 specimens, now preserved at the Institute of Botany of the Northeast.
