Tor Øystein Vaaland, born in 1959, is a Norwegian priest, journalist, and author. He served as Secretary-General at the Mental Health Council from 2001 to 2006 and was a board member at Helse Øst in 2005. Vaaland was parish priest in Asker from 2014 and the Dean of Asker from 2019 to 2021. Since January 2022, he has been the ecclesiastical director in the Oslo diocese. He has a background in journalism at NRK, Nationen, and Morgenbladet, and founded the Crystal Palace supporter club in Norway in 1991.
