Anthony Francis Kokshoorn, born on 13 February 1955, is a notable New Zealand politician and publisher. He was the Mayor of Grey District from 2004 until 2019, marking a significant 15-year tenure, making him the region's longest-serving mayor. Kokshoorn co-owns the Greymouth Evening Star and Hokitika Guardian newspapers and is also involved in charitable work supporting rural areas. His contributions include efforts during the Pike River Mine disaster. He announced his retirement from the mayoral position in April 2018, after five unopposed terms.
