Erik Tommy Östmar (1934-2007) was a Swedish painter, draftsman, and sculptor. Born in Finspång, he received education at Slöjdföreningens skola in Gothenburg and the Royal Institute of Art from 1957 to 1962. He held several scholarships and debuts in 1964 at Galleri Blanche in Stockholm. Östmar contributed significantly to group exhibitions and served as a drawing professor at the Royal Institute of Art. He was a member of the Royal Academy of Arts and was awarded the Prince Eugen Medal in 1998. His works are housed in notable museums across Sweden and Denmark.
