Tomiko Nozawa, also known by her pen name Tomiko Koike, was a Japanese writer born on February 13, 1921, in Yokohama, Kanagawa. She debuted with the short story 'Neighbors' in the April 1940 issue of 'Hototogisu.' Her collection 'Brick Girl Workers' became a bestseller, and one of her stories was nominated for the Naoki Prize. After World War II, she joined the Japanese Communist Party and published works under her pen name. In her later years, she contributed to the Japanese Democratic Literature Association, continuing to express her literary voice.
