Tomie Kobayashi (September 29, 1916 - January 11, 2004) was a Japanese female historian born in Osaka. She graduated from Ibaraki Prefectural Tsuchiura High School and worked as a journalist for the Mainichi Shimbun. Kobayashi was involved in the editing of Raichō Hiratsuka's autobiography, "Gan-shi, Josei wa Taiyō deatta" (In the Beginning, Woman Was the Sun), and served as the president of the Raichō Hiratsuka Association.
