Tomás Santa Rosa Junior, also known as Santa Rosa, was a prolific Brazilian scenographer, graphic artist, illustrator, painter, designer, engraver, professor, decorator, costumer, and art critic. Born on September 20, 1909, in João Pessoa, he became famous in the mid-20th century for illustrating covers for prominent writers. He is recognized mainly as the first modern scenographer in Brazil, although he devoted much of his life to book illustration, creating visual identities for publishers. Notably, he designed the set for Nelson Rodrigues' play 'Vestido de Noiva.'
