Tomás Aragüés Bayarte was a Basque musician from Aragon, born on June 1, 1903, in Deustia, Zaragoza, and passed away on October 7, 1956, in Barakaldo. He was a music teacher, conductor, and composer. After studying at the Zaragoza Conservatory, he became the conductor of the Barakaldo Municipal Band in 1940 and started teaching at the Bilbao Conservatory the same year. He composed many works, particularly religious music, with his masses being particularly noteworthy. His son, Tomás, is also a composer and conductor.
