Tom Springfield, born Dionysius Patrick O’Brien on July 2, 1934, in London, was a British film composer and lyricist. He was part of the folk trio The Springfields alongside his sister Dusty Springfield from 1960 to 1963. Springfield is well-known for composing the song 'Georgy Girl' for the film of the same name, which earned him an Oscar nomination in 1967 with lyricist Jim Dale. He wrote numerous songs for the band The Seekers during his career.
