Tom Poor was an American high jumper born on December 15, 1903, in Missouri and died on December 20, 1965, in Grove, Oklahoma. He finished fourth at the 1924 Paris Olympics with a jump of 1.88 meters. Representing the University of Kansas, he became the NCAA champion in 1923. Poor achieved his personal best jump of 1.97 meters on March 27, 1925, in Austin. His contributions to athletics, particularly high jumping, were notable during his career, leaving a mark in the sport's history.
