His technique involved embedding 'time bombs' in artworks, ensuring they would be damaged upon cleaning. After his forgery activities were exposed in 1970, he faced legal challenges but was not convicted. Later, he gained fame as a TV presenter, demonstrating painting styles of renowned artists until his death in 1984.
