Tokugawa Yoshimitsu was a Japanese bureaucrat, politician, army officer, and noble (duke), born on February 6, 1913, and died on February 6, 1993. He was the grandson of Tokugawa Yoshinobu, the 15th shōgun of the Tokugawa shogunate. Known by the common name 'Keikō', he played various roles in the Japanese government and military during a significant period of change in Japan. His legacy traces back to one of the most important families in Japanese history, deeply intertwined with the feudal era.
