Tōichirō Iwasa (March 8, 1905 - May 31, 1974) was a Japanese poet born in Tokyo. He graduated from Hosei University and became the first disciple of Daigaku Horiguchi. At 18, he published his first poetry collection, 'Puronumaado'. He co-founded literary magazines like 'Bungei Hanron' and 'Kindai Shien'. Known for blending modernism with lyricism in his poetry, Iwasa also ventured into haiku, essays, and children's songs, serving as the first editor and publisher of the haiku magazine 'Fūryūjin' in 1935. He was recognized for his witty personality and was a student of NHK Radio's 'Tonti Kyōshitsu'.
