Tito Aprea was an Italian musician, musicologist, and composer born in Rome in 1904 and died around 1989. He was the eldest son of painter Giuseppe Aprea and studied under Alessandro Longo, graduating in piano, composition, and orchestral conducting in 1919. Aprea served as director of the Giuseppe Verdi Institute in Tunisia from 1927 to 1937, and later became a piano professor at the Santa Cecilia Academy in Rome. He was also an active performer and educator, and authored a significant treatise on piano technique titled 'L'arte del pedale nel pianoforte' in 1959.
