Thore Westermoen, born on September 17, 1949, in Mandal, is a Norwegian politician affiliated with the Christian Democratic Party. He is the son of Toralf Westermoen, a former member of the national Parliament. Thore served as a deputy representative in the Norwegian Parliament from Vest-Agder in multiple terms from 1989 to 2009. He was the county mayor from 1999 after being re-elected in 2003 and 2007. After the dissolution of his local alliance in 2011, he was offered county mayor again but became deputy county mayor instead. Westermoen also contributed to the Norwegian State Railways board.
